Two children drown in village tank in Chittoor district

In a tragic incident, two children drowned in a village tank on the outskirts of Yadamarri mandal headquarters on Friday evening. The duo reportedly ventured into the water body for a swim, but could not come out after being stuck in the mud.

The police said the deceased were identified as Siddu (11) and Akhilesh (13), residents of Tummindapalem village, near the water body. The Yadamarri police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the Chittoor district hospital for post-mortem.
