Two criminals externed from Kurnool district

Kurnool Collector A. Siri issued orders externing two persons having criminal background from the district. Both were involved in more than 15 criminal cases each and have been jailed, however, did not mend their ways after coming out of prison.

Vadde Anjaneyulu alias Anji, who resides under the Kurnool IV Town police limits, has 17 criminal cases registered against him at various police stations in the district. Cases related to murder, robberies, atrocities on SC/STs, attempt to murder and others were registered against him. The other person, Pathan Imran Khan, has 19 criminal cases against him.

The two were arrested and remanded in various cases on several occasions and were remanded in Kadapa central prison after invoking PD Act in 2002, but they again got involved in crime after coming out of prison. Following the proposals sent by Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Patil, the Collector issued externment orders against the duo.

Mr. Vikrant Patil said those involving in rowdyism, disturbing law and order and creating fear will not be spared and they will be externed and sent to prison by invoking PD Act. The SP added that they have prepared proposals for externing more number of people with criminal records.
