Two fishermen go missing at sea, one body traced

Two fishermen from Nagayalanka in Krishna district, T. Pothuraju and N. Ramu, have gone missing after they reportedly fell into the sea from their boat near Antarvedi, on Monday. They are feared to have drowned.

The fishermen had ventured out to sea on Sunday after the fishing ban was lifted. However, on Monday, when their boat reached Antarvedi, the fishermen fell into the sea.

Locals managed to retrieved the body of N. Ramu and a search is on for T. Pothuraju. Fisheries Minister K. Atchannaidu spoke with the Fisheries Department officials and enquired into the boat mishap.
