The first Dh100 million winner
The excitement surrounding the last grand prize comes just weeks after Anilkumar Bolla, a 29-year-old IT professional from Abu Dhabi, became the UAE Lottery’s first Dh100 million winner on October 18.
Originally from Telangana in southern India, Mr Bolla shared that he plans to invest in his future and that of his family, while also using his winnings to help those in need.Despite his careful financial plans, he also revealed personal indulgences. He intends to buy a sports car and celebrate with a luxury holiday, saying, “I have a dream to buy a supercar and, for sure, I want to fulfil my dream first. I also want to celebrate this moment in a great resort or 7-star hotel and just enjoy this vibe for some time.
Then I need to start planning this investment.”
How the Lucky Day lottery works
The UAE Lottery is the country’s first authorised national lottery, holding its inaugural draw on December 14 last year with a Dh100 million prize. Tickets are priced at Dh50 and are available on the UAE Lottery website. Each draw is broadcast live on the operator’s YouTube channel. The Lucky Day format follows a calendar-style system. Players select six numbers from 31 in the “Day” section and one number from 12 in the “Month” section of the online draw card.
Participants must register on the official website to play.Prizes vary based on how many numbers are matched. Those who correctly pick all seven numbers win the grand prize, while matching all six Day numbers earns Dh1 million. Smaller cash prizes range from Dh100 up to Dh100 million.
With the final Dh100 million draw set for November 29, the UAE Lottery is closing a historic chapter. Participants have a last opportunity to chase the record-breaking jackpot before Lucky Day enters a new phase. Organisers have promised updates on the revamped game, urging players to mark their calendars and stay informed.
