As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, the Union Bank of India’s Vijayawada regional office has donated diagnostic and testing equipment worth about ₹8 lakh to the Government General Hospital (GGH), Vijayawada. The contribution will support the departments of Pathology, Microbiology, Dermatology, and the Blood Bank.
UBI Deputy Zonal Head M.V.N. Ravi Shankar attended the programme as the chief guest, while Vijayawada Regional Head M.V. Tilak formally handed over the equipment to Hospital Superintendent A. Venkateswara Rao.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Venkateswara Rao said the advanced diagnostic tools would greatly enhance medical testing and treatment for the thousands of patients visiting the hospital each day. He commended the bank for supporting the public healthcare sector through its CSR efforts, according to a press release.
