Union MoS Pankaj Chaudhary elected as BJP's Uttar Pradesh president
Union minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary was elected as the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Uttar Pradesh state president on Sunday, with senior party leaders including Union Minister Piyush Goyal and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attending his felicitation ceremony in Lucknow.Piyush Goyal formally handed over the charge of the BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit to Chaudhary in the presence of party leaders and workers."We are members of the world's largest political party. Political activities take place all over the world, but no other party has a process as democratic as ours, or the level of coordination we maintain," Goyal said during the ceremony.Goyal highlighted the role of grassroots workers in strengthening the party organization and its nationwide expansion."The credit for this goes to the party workers. Under the leadership of JP Nadda, the party is continuously expanding. This is a moment of great enthusiasm, a celebration of our organisation," Goyal added.Chief minister Yogi Adityanath and other senior BJP leaders extended their congratulations to Chaudhary, expressing confidence in his ability to further strengthen the party's state unit.Goyal emphasized that the BJP distinguishes itself from other political parties through its internal democratic processes and strong organizational coordination.(With agency inputs)
