Tejashwi’s future is in jail, not at helm

UP deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya

Ara: Uttar Pradesh deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya on Thursday took a jibe at the promises made by RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, saying even the Union budget will fall short to fulfil his “unfeasible poll promises”.“Tejashwi’s future is in jail, not for ruling Bihar,” said Maurya, addressing an election rally at the high school ground in Paharpur village under Shahpur assembly constituency of Bhojpur district. The BJP has fielded 30-year-old Rakesh Ojha, son of former BJP state vice-president Visheshwar Ojha, from Shahpur against the incumbent RJD MLA, Rahul Tiwari, son of senior party leader Shivanand Tiwari. The UP deputy CM called Yadav an “automatic machine for telling lies”.

“The budget of Uttar Pradesh is about Rs 8 lakh crore, which is bigger than Bihar. Even the budget of India may not fulfil the unfeasible poll promises of Tejashwi. The people of Bihar are wise enough to see through such brazen lies,” he said.Citing the court cases against the RJD supremo and his son, Maurya said Lalu Prasad was convicted in the fodder scam, whereas Tejashwi is an accused in a case pertaining to railways.

“He can be produced in court anytime and may have to go to jail if convicted,” he said.Maurya added the INDIA bloc appears to be a confused alliance. “While the NDA has conducted more than 100 election rallies till now, the Grand Alliance leaders have not even started their poll rallies. They have accepted defeat in the beginning itself. Now they are trying to mislead the people of Bihar by making unfeasible tall poll promises,” he said.Asserting that the NDA is fighting this assembly election under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, the UP deputy CM said he has brought Bihar on the path of rapid development by taking the state out of the curse of “jungle raj”. “Under his able leadership, the NDA will replicate its highly impressive performance of the 2010 assembly elections, and INDIA bloc will be completely routed as its candidates will lose even their security deposits.

” he said.Taking a swipe at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Maurya said he took out a yatra in Bihar and then vanished. “In the same way, the people of Bihar will make him vanish from the electoral battle too,” he said.Union minister of state for Jal Shakti and Muzaffarpur MP, Raj Bhushan Chaudhary Nishad, was also present at the rally.
