UP Man Chops Off Gay Partner's Genitals For Raping 6-Year-Old Daughter, Kills Self

A man in UP's Deoria allegedly cut off his gay partner's private parts for raping his six-year-old daughter and then died by suicide.

In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria, a man allegedly cut off his gay partner’s genitals for raping his six-year-old daughter and then died by suicide, according to police officials.

The incident happened on the night of October 21. Police said the 32-year-old man, who performed in a local orchestra group, had been separated from his wife and shared a small rented room with a friend, identified as Rambabu Yadav, 35. The two men developed a close personal relationship.

However, things turned sour when it was alleged that Yadav had raped the man’s six-year-old daughter, who came to visit her father. Hearing the child’s screams, the father woke up and confronted the accused with a knife in anger, leading to a violent altercation in which he cut off Yadav’s private parts, leaving him covered in blood.

Yadav was admitted to the Deoria Medical College and then referred to a hospital in Gorakhpur for further treatment, and has remained under police supervision since. The condition of the accused is serious, said Additional SP Sunil Kumar Singh

A case was filed against Yadav under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, based on the father’s complaint. Yadav reportedly disclosed details of his relationship with the man, after which the father began facing intense social scrutiny and decided to end his life, according to NDTV.

The man was found dead in his room on Friday morning. Police officials recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Initial evidence pointed towards death by hanging, according to police. Further investigation is underway.

Villagers said the men had a long-standing close relationship, having worked together in the orchestra group, which led to frequent visits to each other’s homes. “This incident is a disgrace for the village. The father took revenge for his daughter," a villager was quoted as saying by News18 India.

Meanwhile, the child has been moved to her maternal grandparents’ home and is receiving medical care and counselling, officials said. The child’s medical examination has been completed and forensic results are awaited.
