The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh, has issued an updated schedule for the Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility Entrance Test Postgraduate (UP NEET PG) counselling 2025.
As per the revised calendar, candidates can now submit their preferences for courses and colleges on the official website at upneet.gov.in, until 24 November, 2025.According to the UP NEET PG 2025 seat matrix, a total of 3,208 seats are available across Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and postgraduate diploma programmes. The results for the Round 1 seat allotment will be published on 26 November, following which candidates may download their allotment letters between 27 November and 29 November.
Admissions to allotted institutions must be completed during the reporting period from 1 December to 5 December.DMET has stated that candidates who do not accept their Round 1 seat will be able to exit without any penalty. Those wishing to take part in the counselling process must pay a participation fee of ₹3,000 at the time of registration. Applicants intending to participate in the stray vacancy round will need to complete a fresh registration as per the later schedule.
Only candidates who have successfully registered online and deposited the required security money will be allowed to fill in their preferences. Aspirants whose names appear in the merit list must provide their choices through the online portal. They may revise and reorder their selections multiple times until final locking. Once choices are locked, no further modifications will be permitted. Seat allotment will be conducted on the basis of the merit list and the preferences submitted.

UP NEET PG counselling 2025: Steps to complete choice filling
Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the choice-filling process.
- Visit the official website, upneet.gov.in.
- Log in using your registered credentials created during the online registration.
- Navigate to the Choice Filling section displayed on the dashboard.
- Browse the list of available colleges and courses based on the UP NEET PG 2025 seat matrix.
- Select and arrange your preferred options in the desired order.
- Review your entries carefully; you may edit your choices as many times as required before locking.
- Once satisfied, click on Lock Choices to finalise your selection.
- Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
