The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the timetable for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (UPSC NDA, NA II 2025) on its website upsc.gov.in.

According to the schedule, the examination will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2025, and will be conducted in two sessions.

  • Mathematics Paper: 10:00 am to 12:30 pm (300 marks)
  • General Ability Test (GAT): 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm (600 marks)

Candidates who qualify in the written test will move forward to the Services Selection Board (SSB) Test/Interview, which carries 900 marks.

UPSC NDA, NA II 2025: Key exam details

Here are some important instructions about the examination:

  • The question papers will have objective-type questions only.
  • Papers will be available in both Hindi and English languages.
  • Only questions using the metric system of weights and measures will be included, wherever applicable.
  • Use of calculators, mathematical tables, or log tables is strictly prohibited.
  • No facility of a scribe will be permitted.

The examination is being held to fill 406 vacancies across the National Defence Academy and the Naval Academy.

What comes next?

The Union Public Service Commission will release the NDA and NA II admit card approximately seven days before the exam at upsconline.nic.in. To access the e-Admit Card, candidates will need their application ID and date of birth.If an admit card or official communication is not received, candidates are advised to immediately reach out to the Commission either in person or through its helpdesk number 011-24041001.

The Commission has clarified: “No candidate will ordinarily be permitted to appear in the examination without an e-Admit Card. After downloading the e-Admit Card, candidates must carefully verify all details and report any discrepancies to the Union Public Service Commission immediately. The courses allotted will depend on the candidate’s educational qualifications and preferences as submitted in the application form.
