 Man shot dead by brother over property dispute; accused absconding

VARANASI: A man allegedly killed his younger brother in a property dispute in Chandauli district on Thursday evening. The assailant is on the run after the incident. The police arrived at the scene and started an investigation into the matter.According to reports, a senior advocate, Kamla Yadav, a resident of Sirsi village in the Sadar police station area, was shot dead by his elder brother, Dangal Yadav, a retired sub-inspector from the UP police. The deceased, Kamla Yadav, practised at the Chandauli court for a long time.The two brothers had a heated argument in the court premises over an old loan and land issues. Later in the evening, Kamla Yadav was at home when his elder brother, Dangal Yadav, arrived and opened fire with his weapon. Kamla Yadav was hit by three bullets, two in the head and one in the chest, leaving him in critical condition on the spot. The family rushed the injured advocate to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached the scene and began their investigation. Currently, the accused, Dangal Yadav, is absconding. The police took the body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
