VARANASI: Police arrested four wanted members of a fake trust gang from the house of Dilip Bharti, operator of a fake charitable organisation located in Jam village under the Kotwali area in Ballia district on Saturday.
They were accused of opening an organisation and issuing fake appointment letters to youth for sweeper and supervisor posts in Rasra Municipality, Sikandarpur, and other municipal councils. They were booked under sections 316(2), 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 352, 351(3), 61(2) of BNS.According to Kotwal Yogendra Bahadur Singh, Dilip opened the Hamrahi Charitable Seva Sansthan organisation in Chhitauni and collected hefty amounts from unemployed youth in the name of providing jobs, issuing fake appointment letters.
When jobs were not provided, several youths came to the office and created a ruckus.When crowds of youth started gathering at the Rasra municipality, the municipal chairman and EO dispelled the youth's confusion by posting a notice.Several youths submitted written complaints to police seeking justice. An FIR was lodged against Dilip Bharti (manager), Sumant Bharti, Shani Bharti, and Nandu Rajbhar. The police team arrested them. The ASP (North) Dinesh Kumar Shukla said that legal proceedings were completed against the arrested persons.
