Vande Bharat Sleeper train latest news: The Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) has commenced trial run of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train’s second rake, which reached Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh last week. Manufactured by BEML, the rake was delivered to the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai earlier this month.

Earlier, speaking to Indianexpress.com, U Subba Rao, General Manager, Integral Coach Factory (ICF) stated that the second rake supplied by BEML will undergo mandatory trials before its final rollout. “The trial run will begin soon. It is an essential step for the train’s final commissioning and will be conducted by the Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO),” the GM told Indianexpress.com.

Last week, a senior official from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) confirmed that the second rake of the Vande Bharat Sleeper version had been dispatched to Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. “We have sent it to Khajuraho; RDSO will decide the trial,” the official told IndianExpress.com.

Now, the trial run of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train’s second rake has begun under the supervision of the RDSO. “The trial of the Vande Bharat Sleeper train’s second rake has begun,” a senior official said. During the trial run, the RDSO will conduct extensive tests, including oscillation and speed trials. Presently, the trial run is underway on Mahoba-Khajuraho section.

The railways has decided to launch two Vande Bharat Sleeper trains together. Last month, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw clarified that the launch will take place only after the second train is fully ready for regular service. This train has also been manufactured by BEML using ICF technology.
