Venus Williams And Andrea Preti's Love Story: A Chance Meeting In Milan To Exchanging Vows In Florida

Tennis great Venus Williams has gotten married to actor, producer, and model Andre Preti. The two got hitched in Florida months after first tying the knot in Italy. Venus Williams first met Andrea Preti during a Milan Fashion Week 2024 in Italy. According to Vogue, neither of the two originally intended to attend the event. 

The two first met during an aperitivo, with Andrea Preti spotting Venus Williams sitting on a couch and introducing himself. "You are so beautiful," Preti told Venus, as per Vogue.

Venus Williams and Andre Preti exchanged numbers and started texting each other. They would soon meet again in London for breakfast.

Venus Williams says that after their date in London, she knew "I was going to marry him". Their bond grew deeper when Venus was diagnosed with adenomyoma, and Andrea offered to connect her with a doctor in Italy where the tennis superstar underwent surgery - a month after meeting Andrea.

Six months after the surgery, Venus Williams and Andrea Preti got engaged in Tuscany on January 31, 2025. After Andrea proposed, the couple got married on September 18 in Italy. 

Venus Williams and Andrea Preti's second wedding was in Florida. "Serena (Williams) gave us this gift of a beautiful yacht, and she arranged all the food, everything. We had 10 to 12 of our closest family and friends who were in town on the boat, and we were singing, dancing, gossiping, and just enjoying each other," Venus told Vogue. 

Venus Williams and Andre Preti woke up early at 4 AM on December 19 for their courthouse wedding after days of festivities.  

Venus was quite calm on the wedding day, so much so that her mother kept enquiring, "How can you be so calm?" 

Venus Williams and Andrea Preti wrote their own vows. The after-party continued till 2 AM. "It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day," Venus told Vogue.
