Vice President to visit Meenakshi Amman temple in Madurai on first trip to T.N. after assuming office

On his first trip to Tamil Nadu after assuming office, Vice President of India C.P. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to visit Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Madurai, and Ramanathapuram districts between October 28 and 30.

The Vice President will arrive in Coimbatore on October 28 and will be felicitated by the Coimbatore Citizen Forum in CODISSIA, according to an official release. He will pay homage at the Mahatma Gandhi statue in the Town Hall corporation building.

Mr. Radhakrishnan is scheduled to visit Perur Mutt in Coimbatore to participate in the centenary celebrations of Shanthalinga Ramasamy Adigalar. He will then proceed to Tiruppur, where he will pay floral tributes to the statues of Tiruppur Kumaran and Mahatma Gandhi.

After attending a felicitation programme in Tiruppur on October 29, he will reach Madurai and offer prayers at the Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple in the evening. On October 30, the Vice President will attend the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar Jayanthi programme at Pasumpon in Ramanathapuram district.
