Video: Man molests Class 8 student while returning home from school in UP

A 13-year-old student was allegedly molested by a man while she was returning home from school in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad, police said. The incident was caught on CCTV.

The minor, who studies in Class 8, appears on the footage and is seen walking on a narrow road when a man, riding a bicycle, veers to her side and inappropriately touches her.

Shocked by the man's action, the girl fights back, hitting him as he cycles away, the CCTV shows.

After the video went viral, residents of the area demanded the arrest and strict action against the accused.

Following the outrage, police registered a case against the accused, later identified as Ibrahim, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
