A shocking incident has surfaced from Alwar, Rajasthan, where an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) allegedly assaulted a street vendor and his son while demanding a bribe. The ASI, Devi Sahay from NEB police station, reportedly arrived in civil clothes and asked for money from the vendor.

The ASI allegedly took Rs 5,000 from the vendor’s cash box. When the shopkeeper resisted, he slapped the vendor’s son, causing his mouth to bleed.

Eyewitnesses captured the entire incident on video, which later went viral on social media. The footage shows ASI Devi Sahay slapping and abusing the vendor.

Victim Krishna Saini claimed, “When we told him we were leaving, the ASI slapped my colleague Akash.” He further alleged that the officer forcibly took Rs 5,000 from the vendor’s cash box.

Following the viral video, other street vendors gathered at the police station, protesting and demanding strict action against the accused officer. They submitted a complaint to the police and sought immediate suspension of the ASI.

Police officials said that an investigation is underway. “The authenticity of the viral video is being verified, and the complaint filed by the shopkeepers is under examination,” an officer said.
