“Strong organisations are built by committed people, and vigilance is not merely a departmental duty but a collective obligation of every employee,” said Major General Ajay Misra, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Telangana and Andhra Sub Area. He was addressing the valedictory session of the Vigilance Awareness Week event organised by the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) in Hyderabad.

Drawing parallels between the Armed Forces and public enterprises, Major General Misra underscored the importance of integrity and adherence to established systems, procedures and protocols. He encouraged the use of technology and automation to enhance transparency in operations, remarking that vigilance is the means by which we honour the trust of this great nation.

NMDC observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from October 27 to November 2 under the theme ‘Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility’.
