Actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party has intensified its grassroots outreach in Tamil Nadu, with door-to-door campaigning underway across the state. Cadre members have begun visiting households, affixing posters that proclaim Vijay as the “people's preferred Chief Minister candidate” on doors and compound walls.

The campaign is part of a larger strategy directed by party founder Vijay, aimed at strengthening booth-level presence across the state. Members have been instructed to engage directly with residents, listen to their concerns, and build a local support base for the party’s political ambitions ahead of upcoming elections.

Visuals from Kumbakonam city in Thanjavur district show party cadres visiting households with posters bearing Vijay’s image and the slogan “people’s preferred CM candidate”. They were seen distributing the posters and encouraging residents to display them outside their homes.

TVK leadership has mandated that booth-level committee members submit progress reports every fortnight. These reports are to include details of public feedback and updates on organisational work in their respective areas.

Vijay has reportedly taken a serious view of lapses in organisational efforts. It is said that he has directed disciplinary action against those who have failed to establish booth committees properly, signalling a focus on accountability and grassroots consolidation.
