Comedian-actor Vir Das recently shared how he would explain Shah Rukh Khan to the people of the West. In conversation with US comedian-actor Hasan Minhaj on his YouTube channel, the Indian comic talked about his meeting with SRK during the initial days of his career. Vir Das hails Shah Rukh Khan for his humor and humility
In a conversation with American comedian and writer Hasan Minhaj, Vir Das recalled the time when he was invited to Shah Rukh Khan's iconic bungalow, Mannat, in Mumbai. The comedian shared that he was there to write the script for an award show. Das added that he wrote some "terribly immature" jokes, yet SRK was kind enough to sit with him for three nights for the work.Das expressed that when a comic pens jokes for someone else, he always expects that the other person will perform them well.
The 'Delhi Belly' actor said, "He's the only guy I've seen who will change it, and it's just better. He understands a joke; he knows his way around a joke. He understands the misdirects, a pause."
Vir Das shares how Shah Rukh Khan's success feels personal
In the same conversation, Vir Das stated that Shah Rukh Khan came to Mumbai from the capital city, Delhi. The stand-up comic added that Khan turned his dreams into reality. Das shared, "He makes you believe it could happen to you, too.
But at the end of the day, even if it doesn't, you're just glad it happened for him."The 'Go Goa Gone' actor shared that whenever SRK enters, one can feel his aura. He said, "You feel the room move when he walks in."Das also talked about how fans of SRK would react if he met Hollywood icon Tom Cruise. The actor stated that everyone would cheer for Tom; however, they would gasp and be in awe of King Khan.
