ICE officer confronts reporter in viral video — watch

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer in a pickup truck confronted a reporter in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday after accusing an individual of following his vehicle and honking, which he said impeded a reported operation to arrest a child sex offender, according to a video shared on X.The officer pulled up alongside the reporter, who was observing the altercation from a parked car, and said, “We’re here to arrest a child sex offender. And you guys are out here honking,” according to the video.

The journalist recording the video replied, “We’re not honking, we’re press,” the footage showed. The officer then leaned further out of the window and pointed towards a vehicle down the street, saying, “That vehicle right there is honking and impeding on investigations while we’re trying to arrest a child sex offender,” before adding, “That’s who you guys are protecting.

Insane,” and driving away. The exchange occurred amid protests across the Twin Cities since activist Renee Nicole Good was fatally shot by an ICE agent on January 7.The federal government accused Good, a mother of three, of trying to “weaponize” her vehicle against officer Jonathan Ross and said she clipped him, while critics argued that she was not threat to the agents and was just moving her car in different direction.

At a protest last week, protesters spray-painted “hang Kristi Noem,” “f–k ICE” and “only good agent is a dead one” on the side of a damaged car. The FBI offered a $100,000 reward, for information that could lead to an arrest in the vandalism. The video went viral on X. A user commented: "He is so Damn Right!!! Wake the F*** UP MINNESOTA!!! WATCH: "We are trying to arrest a child sex offender" ICE agents say as activists honk to alert to their presence in St Paul Minnesota."

Another said, "Anti-Ice protestors in St. Paul, Minnesota, are protecting child sex offenders. Minneapolis - St. Paul is turning into the pits of hell."
