The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), in association with The Hindu, will organise a webinar series titled “Future conversations — reimagining futures through humanities and sciences”.

The first of the webinars, on the topic “Beyond marksheets: building real-world skills through humanities and sciences”, will be held at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday.

The panellists, A. Vinay Kumar, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Science and Humanities, Law and Management, SRMIST, and A. Joseph Dorairaj, Emeritus Professor, School of English and Foreign Languages, Gandhigram Rural Institute, along with moderator Soma Basu, Senior Deputy Editor, The Hindu, will discuss how transdisciplinary education nurtures problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership. The subsequent webinars will explore emerging career opportunities in humanities and sciences and how transdisciplinary education offers an edge.
