Television actress Dipika Kakar on Tuesday revealed that she is battling stage 2 liver cancer. The TV star, known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, shared the heartbreaking update on Instagram and shared an emotional note. Informing her fans that the last few days were difficult, she said that the doctors discovered a tumour “the size of a tennis ball" in her liver, which was later confirmed to be cancerous.

“As you all are aware last few weeks have been quite difficult for us… walking into the hospital for a pain in the upper area of my stomach… and then finding out its a tennis ball size tumour in the liver and then finding out that the tumour is Second Stage Malignant (Cancerous). It has been one of the most difficult time we have seen, experienced!" Dipika wrote on Instagram.

Early Signs & Symptoms Of Liver Cancer

Symptoms of liver cancer can vary but often include unexpected weight loss, loss of appetite, upper abdominal pain, and jaundice. Early detection and prompt medical attention are crucial in managing this condition effectively.

• Unexplained bruising
• Extreme tiredness and fatigue
• High fever
• Hard bump or lump on the right side of your body just below your rib cage
• Itchy skin
• Loss of appetite which leads to unexplained weight loss
• Pain in the upper abdomen
• Swollen abdomen
• Discomfort in the upper abdomen on the right side
