The Ram Yantra, a sacred Vedic instrument symbolising divine energy, was installed at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on the first day of Navratri, coinciding with the visit of President Droupadi Murmu. The installation marked a spiritually significant moment, as the President paid homage to Ram Lalla and witnessed the Yantra’s placement on the temple’s second floor, alongside the temple’s other sacred installations.

President Murmu arrived in Ayodhya from Delhi around 10.30 am and was received by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. She expressed her reverence for the holy city, stating, “It is a great fortune for me to set foot on the sacred land where Lord Ram was born. Witnessing the installation of the Ram Yantra and being part of this historic moment is spiritually uplifting and deeply fulfilling."

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked, “While the world faces unrest and conflict, India remains a land of peace. The Ram Yantra reflects devotion, tradition, and faith, reminding us of our cultural roots. Those who once dismissed faith as superstition now witness the revival of India’s spiritual heritage through monuments like the Ram Temple."

The Ram Yantra is a Vedic geometric structure designed to channel spiritual energy and invoke divine blessings. According to Ayodhya’s chief astrologer, Raghunath Das Shastri, “The Ram Yantra is a precise arrangement of sacred patterns and mantras that embodies the energies of Lord Ram and other deities. It radiates auspicious vibrations, sanctifying the temple premises and enhancing the spiritual experience of devotees."

Weighing approximately 150 kilograms and coated with gold, the Yantra was crafted at a monastery in Kanchipuram and transported via Tirupati before reaching Ayodhya through a ceremonial procession ten days ago.

Vedic scholars explain that such Yantras act as a conduit for cosmic energy, promoting meditation, spiritual awakening, and a connection with divine principles. The Ram Yantra specifically symbolises Lord Ram’s virtues of dharma, courage, wisdom, and righteousness, offering devotees inspiration for daily life.

Governor Anandiben Patel added that Ayodhya has grown into a global centre of faith, attracting devotees from India and abroad. “The installation of the Ram Yantra highlights the city’s spiritual significance and reinforces the timeless message of devotion, peace, and righteousness that India represents," she said.
