‘What’s harder?’: Ex-girlfriend Hallie Aiono’s sick-baby reality collides with Puka Nacua’s nonstop dating headlines

Hallie Aiono’s Instagram this week was not soft launch energy. While Puka Nacua’s offseason keeps churning out viral clips and courtside sightings, his ex-girlfriend is on the other side of the algorithm asking a very different question: how do you parent a sick newborn when you’re sick yourself. On Monday, Aiono posted candid photos with their son, Kingston, who was born in October. In the caption, she didn’t dress it up. “What’s harder? Taking care of a sick baby or taking care of a baby while sick,” she wrote, a line every tired parent immediately understood.

Hallie Aiono shares raw update on caring for baby Kingston after a messy year off the field

Aiono has been documenting life with Kingston on Instagram since his birth, from small milestones to the hard days. Earlier this year, she showed the baby’s first flight with two simple photos and the caption, “First flight with my mini me.”

On Feb. 4, she took Kingston to the beach and posted a series of photos with him wrapped in a white swaddle while she stood barefoot in a black dress, writing, “I love being your safe place.” The tone has been consistent: less influencer gloss, more young mom trying to figure it out in real time.

The public part of this story started long before these posts. In May 2025, Nacua and Aiono announced they were expecting. A month later, she filed a court petition to confirm that the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver is Kingston’s father and sought what was described as reasonable expenses.

Since the baby’s birth, Aiono has largely kept the focus on their son. Her latest carousel even included a mirror selfie with red lighting and a short victory caption, “I win.” Recently, she also shared Super Bowl photos at home with Kingston and a mystery man, hinting that she has moved on while still carrying most of the visible day-to-day parenting load online.

Puka Nacua’s offseason with Sara Saffari and Overtime Megan keeps trending as his ex does the night feeds

While Aiono’s feed has turned into a quiet baby diary, Nacua’s offseason has looked very different.

He has become a regular in celebrity news blurbs for who he’s sitting next to and who he might be dating, even as he comes off a breakout start to his NFL career. As first reported by Samridhi Goel for Mandatory, Nacua appeared on Nick Nayersina’s YouTube channel at a Topgolf in the Los Angeles area on Feb. 23, where his chemistry with influencer Sara Saffari had friends calling them a “great duo” and even a “power duo.” Days later, a Feb.

28 TikTok showed the two walking through an airport together, seemingly holding hands. Neither side has commented publicly. That came after Nacua was photographed at dinner with Hannah Stocking on Jan. 31, following his viral Instagram repost of Sydney Sweeney’s quote about wanting a partner to “go skydiving,” where he replied, “Love skydiving,” before later admitting, “I have an actual fear of heights.” His teammates reportedly called the move a “Hall of Fame move.”On Monday night, the California Post’s Michael Duarte reported that Nacua was spotted at a Los Angeles Kings game sitting glass-side with sports content creator Megan Eugenio, known online as “Overtime Megan.” Cameras caught them laughing and leaning in close during the matchup against the Colorado Avalanche as the Kings lost 4-2.All of this comes after the wideout faced backlash for a playoff livestream with Adin Ross and N3on that prompted an apology, and after appearances with names like WWE star Charlotte Flair and the San Francisco 49ers cheerleaders.Put together, it paints a split-screen offseason. On one side, Nacua is quietly stacking up viral moments with influencers and staying silent about his relationship status. On the other, Aiono is posting through the long nights with a sick infant, a stack of court paperwork in the rearview, and a feed that reads like real life instead of a highlight reel.
