Donald Trump expressed frustration with both sides but said Israel had acted with particular disregard for the terms of the agreement.

US President Donald Trump lashed out as the fragile ceasefire he brokered between Israel and Iran appeared to teeter on collapse. While blaming both nations for jeopardising the truce, Donald Trump reserved his harshest rebuke for Israel, accusing it of launching a massive bombing campaign on Iran almost immediately after the ceasefire was declared.

“Israel, as soon as we made the deal they came out and they dropped a load of bombs, the likes of which I’ve never seen before," Donald Trump said, adding, “The biggest load that we’ve seen."

He expressed frustration with both sides but said Israel had acted with particular disregard for the terms of the agreement.

“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the fuck they’re doing," Donald Trump said, visibly furious.

While the US President insisted the ceasefire wasn’t officially broken, he made clear that Israeli airstrikes shortly after the deal was signed violated the spirit of the agreement.

“I’m not happy with Israel. You know, when I say, ‘OK now you have 12 hours,’ you don’t go out in the first hour and just drop everything you have. So I’m not happy with them. I’m not happy with Iran either," he added.

Minutes later, aboard Marine One, Donald Trump reiterated his warning on Truth Social, in all caps, writing, “ISRAEL. DO NOT DROP THOSE BOMBS. IF YOU DO IT IS A MAJOR VIOLATION. BRING YOUR PILOTS HOME, NOW!"

After rebuking Israel, Donald Trump said the country has agreed not to strike Iran as he wrote in another post, “ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter!"
