AIIMS
across the country in the past three years, some 38% of faculty positions in AIIMS across the country are vacant, and the general waiting period for some types of planned procedures can go up to two years, the government told Parliament in responses to questions over the past few weeks.
Data shared by the government in Parliament in April this year had shown that 38% of all staff positions in central government institutes across the country are sitting empty — including in all the AIIMS. If countrywide AIIMS were not counted, the vacancies are still at a substantial one-fourth of staff positions.
