Prime Minister Narendra Modi met BJP National Working President Shri Nitin Nabin and congratulated him on taking up his new responsibility in the party.

Sharing details of the meeting in a post on social media, the Prime Minister said, “Met BJP National Working President Shri Nitin Nabin Ji. Congratulated him on his new responsibility and wished him the very best in his endeavours to strengthen the Party at the grassroots. I am confident that his organisational and administrative experience will be an asset for our Party as we all work together to fulfil people’s aspirations."

Bihar minister and BJP leader Nitin Nabin assumed charge as the party’s National Working President on Monday at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

The occasion was attended by several senior leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda. The BJP parliamentary board had announced Nabin’s appointment to the post a day earlier, with immediate effect.

Party leaders said the move is an important organisational step, as Nabin is expected to play a key role in the party’s leadership and internal coordination in the coming months.

After taking charge, Nabin addressed party leaders and workers, describing the appointment as a responsibility given by the organisation.

“A small worker like me has been given a very big responsibility. The party’s mantra is to keep working for the organisation, and the organisation always recognises commitment and hard work," he said.

Nabin is currently serving as Bihar’s Public Works Department (PWD) minister and is a five-time MLA from the Bankipur assembly constituency in Patna.

He is the son of the late BJP leader and former MLA Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha. Nabin entered electoral politics in 2006 at the age of 26, winning a by-election held after his father’s death.

Senior party leaders describe him as a leader with a strong focus on organisation and ideology. His long association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), along with his experience as a Bihar minister and as the BJP’s in-charge for Chhattisgarh, is often cited as proof of his administrative and organisational abilities.
