LUCKNOW: A three-year-old boy was killed in another wolf attack in UP's Bahraich district Monday, intensifying fear across rural areas where such fatalities have continued unabated for months.
At least 13 people, including 12 children, died and 42 were injured in wolf attacks in the district in the past three months.Police identified the boy as Anshu. He and his four siblings lived in Rasoolpur Darehta village with their mother, while their father works in Punjab.Anshu was lying on a cot in the courtyard of his house, drinking milk, while his mother was engaged in household chores. A wolf entered the house, grabbed the child by neck, and fled. Family members and villagers rushed after the animal with sticks, but it disappeared into the dense fog, police and forest department officials said.Villagers, aided by police & forest department teams, found Anshu's body at a nearby field after nearly six hours.
