Woman dies after being hit by two-wheeler in Kukatpally

A 40-year-old woman was killed on the way to her work, after being hit by a two-wheeler while crossing the road in Kukatpally early on Wednesday (May 29).

The deceased, identified as Aalakunta Bala Kistamma, who has been working at a hostel in KPHB for the past ten years. According to the police, Bala was headed to her workplace when a speeding two-wheeler , travelling from Miyapur towards Kukatpally rammed into her. She was crossing the road near Remedy Hospital at the time of the accident and fell down due to the impact of the collision. Passers-by and local residents rushed her to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment. The rider, identified as Saif, aged 20, was booked by the KPHB police and an investigation was initiated.
