Woman found murdered in Chikkamagaluru, husband arrested

A woman was murdered allegedly by her husband at Kaimara in Chikkamagaluru taluk on Wednesday.

Keerthi, 26, and Avinash, 32, were in love and got married three years ago. The couple has a two-year-old girl.

Recently, the couple had differences. Following a quarrel, Avinash allegedly murdered her and fled from the place. The Chikkamagaluru Rural Police have taken up investigation after registering a case.

Chikkamagaluru Superintendent of Police Vikram Amathe told presspersons that Avinash had been arrested. A special team of policemen, led by sub-inspector Rajesh, traced the accused in a forest area.
