'Wonder Girls’ Yubin recently made shocking revelations about her family’s condition, worrying fans. The idol recently took to her social media account to share a worrying update about her sister and how she has been suffering from cancer since 2020.

She even asked netizens for their support in the matter as well.

Yubin recently took to her social media account and ended up sharing a lengthy post sharing a major update about her family. She revealed that her sister had been diagnosed with breast cancer all the way back in 2020. While the family had been dealing with the diseases, things came to a worse standstill. She added, “My eldest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and has been fighting through painful treatments ever since.

Unfortunately, in 2024, the cancer metastasized to her brain, and she continues to face a painful battle every day.”She then talked about how the family has found an effective treatment, but financial constraints, among other things, have ended up becoming massive obstacles for them. She further elaborated on the matter, asking for fans' help in signing a petition. She shared, “Out of a desperate wish to protect my sister, I am asking for your help.

This is not just about my family, but also a crucial issue tied to whether breast cancer patients can access better treatment in the future”.The petition, titled ‘Request for health insurance coverage and expedited approval for Tukysa (tucatinib), a treatment for brain metastases in breast cancer,’ is meant to help provide expenses for the high-cost procedure. She ended her post by saying, “I would be truly grateful if you could lend your strength so that many patients can hold onto hope”.Yubin debuted all the way back in 2007 with the group Wonder Girls. After their disbandment, all of the members went on to focus on their solo careers. Yubin has since then released many hits such as ‘Lady’, ‘Perfume’, and ‘Yaya (Me Time)’.
