Seth Rollins and Penta qualified for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match as The New Day retained the World Tag Team Title.

CM Punk attacked Seth Rollins on Raw (WWE)

The WWE Monday Night Raw in Tampa on 26 May was headlined by exciting Money in the Bank qualifying matches and a major World Tag Team title clash. While Penta and Seth Rollins secured victories in the MITB triple-threat qualifiers, New Day came out triumphant in the battle for the tag team championship. Apart from this, fans witnessed the return of Liv Morgan, who was soon pinned by Kairi Sane in the Women’s Tag Team face-off. Here is a detailed account of all the results from the WWE Raw at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

Sami Zayn vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins MITB Clash

In a match full of chaos, Rollins was attacked by Zayn before the bell. All three men indulged in an intense fight across the ring, sharing brutal moves. Balor nearly won the fight at one point by executing a double DDT on both opponents. Zayn came back to unleash a moonsault to the floor and got the crowd cheering as he paid tribute to the late Sabu.

But the victory eventually went to Rollins, thanks to an interruption from Bron Breakker, who pulled Zayn from the ring when he was lining up for a Helluva Kick. Bronson Reed and Jey Uso also joined in, with the latter trying to help Zayn by fighting off both men. It was followed by Dominik Mysterio sliding a chair into the ring and trying to hand it over to Balor. But before he could notice, Rollins landed a perfect storm on Balor’s head and confirmed qualification victory for Money in the Bank.

Rollins’ moment of triumph was ruined by CM Punk as he entered the ring from behind and nailed him with a GTS. Punk rushed off the ring before Rollins’ faction members – Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker – could hold him off.

Penta Wins Over Chad Gable, Dragon Lee In MITB Qualifier

In another thrilling Money in the Bank qualifier, Penta took on Chad Gable and Dragon Lee. The compelling match saw all three men give each other a hard time before Penta showed off his pedigree with a terrific victory. The Mexican star initially dominated Gable, whose comeback later on was all too brief as he picked up an injury after a move from Penta. That affected Gable’s chances even as the wrestler tried to keep his foes out and even attacked an interfering Vikingo near the ringside. The AAA star then also interrupted the contest, which allowed Penta to prevail over his opponents and secure victory with a final blow.

New Day Beat American Alpha and Viking Raiders

In other results, New Day hammered American Alpha and Viking Raiders after a power-packed triple threat match for the World Tag Team title. New Day – Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods – won the exciting battle after a pinfall against American Alpha (Chad Gable and Otis), with a roll-up by Woods finishing off the clash. Having already taken the Viking Raiders down, New Day bagged the WWE Tag Team Championship.

Kairi Sane defeated title holder Liv Morgan after overcoming a fantastic encounter for supremacy in the Women’s Tag Team Championship clash. In the dying moments of the match, Roxanne Perez ran down and knocked Sane off the top rope. But she recovered, maximising an argument between Raquel Rodriguez and Perez. Sane then countered Ob-Liv-ion with a roll-up for her victory.
