Roman Takes the Hit, Jey Gets the Glory: Bloodline’s Brotherhood Wins at SummerSlam
SummerSlam opened with chaos as Roman Reigns and Jey Uso took on the powerhouse duo of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in a high-octane tag match that started without intros and never slowed down. Reigns and Uso briefly controlled the pace, even throwing in a “Yeet" for old times’ sake, but Breakker’s explosive offense and Reed’s brute strength quickly swung the momentum. Jey endured a heavy beating before Reigns entered with a flurry of Superman Punches and aerial offense.
The challengers nearly stole it with a brutal double-team move, but the turning point came when Breakker charged at Uso for the kill shot—only for Reigns to take the spear himself. That selfless act allowed Jey to recover, land a superkick, and finish Reed with the Uso Splash. In a match full of wild dives, barricade-breaking blows, and close calls, the Bloodline’s grit—and bond—pulled them through. Breakker and Reed didn’t win, but they proved they belong at the very top.
Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss Win Women’s Tag Titles
As the challengers hesitated at the bell, Perez and Rodriguez struck first. Flair briefly turned the tide but was blindsided by a sneaky clothesline. The champs stayed a step ahead—until Bliss got the tag and fired back. A missed Twisted Bliss and a brutal clothesline from Rodriguez reset momentum. Flair later rallied, hitting a moonsault, but a misfire from Bliss accidentally took her out. In a shocking twist, Bliss faked turning on Flair, kicked Rodriguez instead, and pinned Perez to win the titles.
WWE SummerSlam 2025 Night 1 Live Updates: Sami Zayn Beat Karrion Kross
In a tense and fast-paced match, Sami Zayn resisted both Karrion Kross’ mind games and the temptation to turn dark. Kross, with help from Scarlett, tried to use a steel pipe, but Zayn countered with a Blue Thunderbomb. Later, Scarlett handed the weapon to Zayn himself, but he chose honor over revenge, tossing it away. Kross attempted a sneaky roll-up, but Zayn broke free and nailed the Helluva Kick to score the win. Though the match was short, it underscored Zayn’s resilience and refusal to be manipulated. Kross failed to break him—physically or mentally.
