XAT 2026: The XAT 2026 application window is closing today, giving candidates their final chance to submit online registrations. XLRI, Jamshedpur, which conducts the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), had previously extended the application deadline.

Steps to apply online for XAT 2026
Candidates can follow these steps to register and submit their XAT 2026 applications online:Step 1: Visit the official websiteOpen https://applications.xatonline.in in a web browser and navigate to the XAT 2026 registration link. Ensure the internet connection is stable to prevent interruptions.Step 2: Click on the registration linkSelect the registration link for new candidates. Existing users can log in with their credentials to continue or edit applications.
Step 3: Enter required detailsFill in personal information, including name, date of birth, contact details, and academic qualifications. Carefully verify all entries to avoid errors.Step 4: Complete the application formProvide details about educational background, work experience, and programme preferences. Attach any mandatory documents such as scanned photographs or certificates as specified.Step 5: Submit the application fee and finalisePay the application fee through the available online payment options.
After payment, save the submitted form and confirm submission. Candidates should keep a copy of the confirmation receipt for future reference.
Exam pattern and sections for XAT 2026XAT 2026 will be conducted in online mode from 2 PM to 5 PM. The exam will include four major sections: Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VALR), Decision Making (DM), Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation (QA & DI), and General Knowledge (GK).
VALR will have 26 questions covering critical and analytical reasoning, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and other exercises. DM will include 21 scenario-based questions to test decision-making skills.
QA & DI will consist of 28 questions assessing arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, modern mathematics, and data interpretation. GK will contain 20 questions, including static GK and current affairs.Candidates who complete the registration today will be able to download the admit cards around December 20, 2025. Timely submission of applications ensures eligibility to appear for the XAT 2026 examination on January 4, 2026.
