Introducing 'Ticket', Yash’s mysterious character

Yash recently disclosed that his character in ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grownups’ is named Ticket, unveiling it with the striking caption, “Your Ticket To Hell”. As stated by Onmanorama, according to reports, the character is the son of a formidable gangster named Raya. The role appears to carry a dark, layered arc that differs from his previous portrayals. Notably, this is the first time since ‘KGF’ and ‘KGF 2’ that Yash will appear without his signature thick beard. The transformation hints at a new phase in his screen persona.

First look reveals build anticipation

The makers have also introduced key characters from the film’s ensemble. Akshay Oberoi was unveiled as Tony through an intense first look poster, while Sudev Nair appeared as the character Karmadi.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the pan India action thriller boasts a star studded cast including Nayanthara and Kiara Advani. Yash is reportedly playing a dual role, raising expectations for an emotionally charged and action packed narrative.

The film is slated for a global theatrical release on March 19, 2026.The film has already secured impressive distribution arrangements across regions. In Kerala, the rights have been acquired by E4 Entertainment, led by Mukesh Mehta and C V Sarathi.

For North India, AA Films, headed by Anil Thadani, has partnered with the project, continuing its successful association with Yash. Meanwhile, the Telugu states will see distribution handled by Sri Venkateswara Creations, led by Dil Raju.

These large scale deals underline the film’s pan Indian ambitions and global positioning.

Strong buzz ahead of release

Beyond distribution milestones, the film is already generating enormous pre release hype. Reports indicate that the Kerala theatrical rights were sold for a record figure, reflecting the confidence surrounding the project. There is also talk of the first single being unveiled on February 28, which could further amplify anticipation. Backed by KVN Productions, the film is being mounted as a major international venture.
