Yoo Ji Tae, Tony Revolori, and Gia Kim to play key roles in an untitled movie based on K-pop - Deets inside

BTS's parent company is officially in discussion of creating a Hollywood film based on K-pop. Pairing up with one of the biggest movie studios globally, the project has been gathering a lot of attention from the public.

Now, as per recent reports, some new cast members have been confirmed for the untitled film.

New cast members confirmed for upcoming K-pop movie

According to The Hollywood Reporter, names such as Yoo Ji Tae, Tony Revolori, and Gia Kim have been confirmed to join the new film about K-pop. Previously, Eric Nam and Yoo Ji Young had been confirmed as the initial cast members of the much-anticipated film. The project is being helped by director Benson Lee, who is known for his works in 'Seoul Searching', 'Battle of the Year', and 'Black Picket Fence'.Gia Kim is mainly known for her pivotal role in the series ‘XO, Kitty’, while Tony Revolori rose to fame with his character in the latest ‘Spider-Man’ franchise. Actor Yoo Ji Tae is a prolific South Korean actor who is famously known for ‘Oldboy’ and ‘Money Heist’. Eric Nam, who is mainly known for his musical career, is diving into acting with his voice feature in ‘The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender’, slated for release next year.

Last but not least is Yoo Ji Young, who gained attention after her work in the hit film ‘KPop Demon Hunters’.

About the untitled K-pop film

Lee has talked about the film in an earlier released statement, saying, "This film is my love letter to K-pop – its energy, passion, magic, and the incredible community behind it. I’m deeply grateful to Paramount Pictures for championing the project, to our producers for their unwavering dedication, to our talented and dynamic cast, and to the legends of the genre helping us bring this story to life.”The official log line of the film was also shared, which read, “The film centers around a young Korean-American woman, who defies her family’s wishes to compete in a televised competition to find the next K-pop girl group”.
