₹1 crore insurance cheque given to families of two deceased railway employees

SCR Hyderabad DRM Santhosh Kumar Verma and State Bank of India AGM R. Murali Krishna formally presented a cheque of ₹1 crore towards Personnel Accident (Death) Insurance under Railway Salary Package Scheme to Venkappa, father of Gowla Ramanjaneyulu and to Bina Devi Meena, widow of Om Prakash Meena, on Tuesday.

Ramanjaneyulu was serving as track maintainer of Kurnool City Station when he passed away in July last year and Om Prakash Meena was serving as Station Superintendent of Bolsa Station, when he expired in August 2025.

RSP Scheme provides comprehensive banking and insurance benefits, including substantial financial support to the nominee in the unfortunate event of the employee’s death, said a press release.
