10 killed, 31 injured in collision between bus, pick-up vehicle in Madhya Pradesh

At least 10 people were killed and another 31 were injured in a head-on collision between a bus returning from a public function attended by the chief minister and a pick-up vehicle in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara on Thursday evening, according to officials.

CM Yadav expressed grief over the mishap and declared a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each for the families of those who lost their lives and Rs 1 lakh for the injured. Treatment of all injured persons would be provided free of cost, the CM announced.
