17-year-old boy stabbed to death in Delhi's Seelampur; accused identified, hunt underway

NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in northeast Delhi's Seelampur, triggering a police investigation and a search for the attackers.The teenager, who suffered multiple stab wounds, was rushed to hospital but could not be saved, officials said on Thursday.The deceased has been identified as Lucky Kumar, a resident of Gautampuri. Police said he sustained multiple stab injuries on his upper body during the attack.According to officials, a PCR call reporting a stabbing incident was received around 9 pm on Tuesday.A police team rushed to the spot and learned that the injured teenager had already been shifted to JPC Hospital. Doctors later declared him dead, PTI reported.Ritika, the victim's sister, said the family rushed to the scene after learning about the attack but could not save him. "My brother was stabbed... When we got to know about this, we rushed to the spot, and till we got him here, he died..." she said.

Police said the crime team and forensic experts inspected the scene and collected evidence as part of the investigation.Officials added that the accused persons have been identified and efforts are underway to apprehend them. Arrests are expected shortly.A case of murder has been registered and further investigation is in progress.(With agency inputs)
