A massive chemical explosion in an industrial factory named Keerthi Chemicals in Karnataka’s Mandya led to the death of two workers and left three others critically injured. As per sources, the leakage occurred due to the dismantling of the factory machinery, which led to the casualties. The deceased were natives of Bihar.

This is not the first time the factory witnessed a chemical explosion. A few months back, another leakage was witnessed, which allegedly damaged crops in the local village. The incident triggered a massive protest by the farmers, and as a result, the factory was shut.

Following the farmers' protest, the factory was shifted to another place. However, the safety measures came under serious questioning as a fresh leakage occurred, claiming two lives. The injured workers are presently under treatment in a local hospital.

The police have registered a case and the investigation is currently underway.
