2 minors drown in pond at golf course near Ambience Mall in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: Two children, aged 10 and 12, drowned in a pond inside a golf course near Ambience Mall on Thursday evening.Police said the boys — Krishan Kumar of Bhiwani (10) and Adarsh of Bihar (12), both residents of Nathupur village — were accompanied by Satish and Ankush.According to police sources, the four boys scaled the boundary wall of the golf course and entered the pond to take a bath when the incident took place in DLF Phase-3 around 7 pm.After Krishan and Adarsh drowned, the other two — Satish and Ankush — raised an alarm following which, a team from DLF Phase-3 police station reached the spot and pulled the children out of the water. The boys were rushed to a nearby Civil Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.Their bodies were later shifted to the mortuary for an autopsy to be conducted on Friday. Police officers declined to comment on the matter. Police have initiated inquest proceedings. Sources said that the “victims had trespassed on the property, which cops are investigating”. The grieving families of the victims reached the spot after being alerted.
