Dazzling in diamonds
Mariah Carey, the pop queen that she is, arrived dripping in diamonds, wearing a set worth a jaw-dropping USD 15 million, per Page Six. The star of her look? A platinum necklace with a massive 185-carat emerald-cut diamond at its center. She paired it with a 55-carat bracelet and 66-carat drop earrings, all from Levuma High Jewellery. Together, reportedly, the set totaled more than 300 carats, sparkling under the stadium lights and instantly becoming one of the night’s biggest fashion moments.Notably, these pieces weren’t just any diamonds off the shelf; Levuma’s founder and creative director, Ali Khalil, personally curated them for Mariah. He was thrilled to see his designs shine on such a global stage. And Mariah’s no stranger to Levuma’s luxury, as last year, she wore their “Rosée Éternelle” necklace, worth USD 10 million, at the MTV Video Music Awards when she picked up the Video Vanguard trophy.
Mariah Carey in Milan
This year, for the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics, Mariah took over San Siro Stadium on February 6, 2026.
She kicked things off with ‘Volare’ (Nel Blu, Dipinto di Blu), singing in Italian as a tribute to the host country, then followed up with her own uplifting anthem, ‘Nothing Is Impossible’. Carey’s voice filled the stadium, but her look was just as unforgettable: a custom white Roberto Cavalli gown by Fausto Puglisi, complete with a feathered stole and sparkling details.
Those blinding diamonds pulled the whole outfit together, making her one of the night’s most glamorous guests.
Who is Mariah Carey? A quick look
Mariah Carey has been a pop and R&B powerhouse ever since the early ’90s. Born in Huntington, New York, in 1969, she broke out with her self-titled debut album and quickly became known for her insane five-octave range and whistle notes. Fans call her “Mimi,” and she’s racked up more No. 1 hits than almost anyone: 19 of them on the Billboard Hot 100. Of course, her holiday classic ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ comes back every year like clockwork, breaking records and topping charts all over again. Her list of hits is seriously impressive: while ‘Vision of Love’ put her on the map, ‘Hero’ turned into an anthem, ‘We Belong Together’ ruled the 2000s, and ‘Touch My Body’ proved her pop reign was far from over.
