Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the deaths of three Indians allegedly killed during a US military operation and accused him of failing to raise the issue during his meeting with US President Donald Trump.

According to  Kejriwal, the Prime Minister praised Trump during their interaction in France but did not bring up the deaths of the Indian nationals.

“PM Narendra Modi showered praise on Donald Trump during their meeting, even though it was Trump under whose watch three innocent Indians were killed," Kejriwal said in a video message shared on X.

AAP Claims PM Should Have Sought Apology

The AAP chief argued that a strong Prime Minister would have demanded an unconditional apology from the United States and firmly conveyed India’s position.

He also said that the Prime Minister should have expressed India’s displeasure over the deaths and sought assurances that such an incident would not be repeated.

He added, “Every Indian life is precious to us, and we expect the United States to apologise for this act."

AAP Questions PM’s Response To Trump

The former Delhi CM also referred to a journalist’s question to Trump regarding the deaths of the Indians and alleged that the US President did not express regret over the incident and questioned why the Prime Minister remained silent despite what he described as an unsatisfactory response from Trump.

“Why is PM Modi so afraid of Trump? Is our country’s PM really this weak?" Kejriwal asked, according to AAP.

‘India Needs Strong Leadership’: AAP

Kejriwal further alleged that India was facing repeated humiliation on international platforms and argued that the country required stronger leadership to safeguard its interests abroad.

The party said Kejriwal was not advocating confrontation but was calling for a firm and dignified assertion of India’s position whenever Indian citizens are harmed.

The remarks come amid continuing political debate over Prime Minister Modi’s diplomatic engagements and India’s response to incidents involving Indian nationals overseas.
