A disturbing incident has emerged in Visakhapatnam district, where a man identified as Yogi allegedly attempted to sexually assault a three-year-old girl in Pedagantyada mandal.

Reports indicate that Yogi lured the child by offering her snacks and subsequently took her away. The mother grew suspicious upon seeing the girl crying and intervened promptly. The child’s parents then filed a complaint at the local police station. Authorities registered a case under the POCSO Act and apprehended the accused.

The Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Women has expressed serious concern and anger over the incident. Chairperson Rayapati Shailaja contacted the Visakhapatnam City Police Commissioner, stating that such incidents are a stain on society.
