Four minor boys whose legs were shackled with iron chains and padlocks were rescued after they escaped a madrasa in Bihar. The children were found wandering in distress by locals in a village. The incident led to the registration of a police case against the madrasa's manager.

The scene unfolded at a village in Darbhanga district when locals noticed four exhausted children resting in the shade after walking under the scorching sun. Their legs were chained, and they were in desperate need of food and water.

The boys also bore injury marks on their bodies. Subsequently, the villagers took them to a nearby house, where they were provided with food and water. The children then narrated their ordeal to the locals, saying they were residents of Madhubani district and were staying and studying at a madrasa in Darbhanga.

They alleged that the madrasa operator, Maulana Qadir, subjected them to severe physical abuse. According to their statements, he frequently beat them and forced them to manually clean human waste.

The boys further claimed that their legs were chained and locked to prevent them from leaving the premises. They said the injury marks on their bodies were the result of repeated beatings.

After hearing the children's account, the locals alerted the police and Childline about the matter. Following this, officials reached the spot, recorded the children's statements, and arranged for their medical examination. The minors were later shifted to a child care home for their safety.

Based on a written complaint submitted by a police officer, an FIR was registered against Maulana Qadir under various sections of law. Police registered a zero FIR before transferring the case to the concerned police station for further investigation.

While the police have not issued a detailed public statement regarding the case, an official has confirmed both the incident and the registration of the FIR. Authorities have stated that the matter is under investigation.
