In a special initiative aimed at bridging education and industry, 68 Intermediate students were selected for the self-directed teams programme, which offers them an opportunity to earn while they learn.
The students are from general and vocational streams and drawn from MPC/BiPC (13), Medical Lab Tehcnician (45) and Pharma Technology (10).
The campus interview was organised by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) along with MSN Laboratories on Tuesday.
As part of the programme, selected candidates will be employed at MSN Laboratories while simultaneously pursuing higher education, such as a B.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, at no additional cost. They will also be eligible for annual salary increments.
According to BIE officials, this is one of the significant steps in bridging education with industry, giving students the opportunity of career and academic advancement.
