At least seven workers were burnt alive, while two still remain trapped after a massive fire broke out in a chemical factory in Rajasthan’s Bhiwadi town on Monday, reported PTI, citing officials. The police got to know about the incident while they were on a routine patrol. A rescue operation was launched right after that.

A video of the incident shows smoke and flames coming out from the factory. Smoke can be seen spreading across the surrounding area and partially covering nearby trees and structures.

“Nine people were trapped inside. Seven bodies have been taken out so far," said Additional District Magistrate Sumita Mishra.

An effort to rescue to two trapped workers is currently underway.
