91 per cent NTR Bharosa pensions distributed in Eluru district

Eluru District Collector K. Vetri Selvi oversaw the distribution of NTR Bharosa social security pensions and personally handed it over to beneficiaries in Eluru, on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, she urged the recipients to make proper use of the financial support offered by the government.

Interacting with the beneficiaries, including the elderly, widows, differently abled, and chronically ill individuals, Ms. Vetri Selvi enquired about their well-being and family situations. She explained that the government had increased pension amounts to support vulnerable sections of the society.

For the July instalment of NTR Bharosa pensions, the government had released ₹112.72 crore to benefit 2,58,098 pensioners across Eluru district. As of Tuesday afternoon, ₹102.16 crore had already been disbursed to 2,34,760 beneficiaries, marking a 91 per cent completion rate.

The Collector informed that 5,292 officials had begun the distribution from 7 a.m. to ensure timely delivery. Beneficiaries who did not receive their pensions on July 1 due to some reason would be offered them on Wednesday (July 2), she added.

Eluru Tahsildar Gayatri, SC Mala Finance Corporation director Dasari Anjaneyulu and others were present.
