Kejriwal announced a nationwide signature campaign against the Ram Mandir donation theft, following a Sundarkand recitation in Delhi's Rohini on Sunday

AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that the party will organise a nationwide signature campaign seeking action against those accused in the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The signature campaign will be held after a Sundarkand recitation in Delhi’s Rohini at 10 am on Sunday. Kejriwal called upon Sanatani Hindus to participate in the campaign in large numbers, adding that a letter signed by ‘Ram Bhakts’ would be addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the campaign.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, the AAP chief accused PM Modi and the BJP-led government of shielding those accused in the Ram Mandir Donation row. “Land worth Rs 2 crore was purchased by the mandir trust for Rs 18 crore. Despite all the documentary evidence being available, there has been no investigation, no FIR has been registered, and no one has been arrested," he said.
He said numerous incidents of ‘Chanda-chori’ were captured on CCTV cameras, yet no investigation had begun.
AAP’s Signature Campaign
Kejriwal said the upcoming movement did not just belong to the AAP, but also involved all devotees who were hurt by the recent developments. “I appeal to all ‘bhakts’ and followers of Bhagwan Ram to attend in large numbers. After the Sundarkand recitation, we will seek the blessings of Bhagwan Hanuman and launch a signature campaign," he said.
He also announced that thousands of Hanuman Chalisa recitations will be organised in Delhi and other places. “When people undertake this effort after seeking the blessings of Bhagwan Ji, ‘Chanda-Chors’ who committed dacoity at the home of Bhagwan Ram will certainly be punished."
AAP’s Letter To PM Modi
Kejriwal also disclosed the contents of the letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which highlighted that crores of Ram devotees were hurt by the alleged embezzlement of Ram Temple donations.
“Crores of ‘bhakts’ contributed to the construction of the Shri Ram Mandir from their hard earned savings, whether small or large. Many even donated their entire life’s savings, and most did not ask for a receipt because they believed this was the house of God. They never imagined they would have to seek an account of what they had offered. Today, that faith has been deeply hurt," it read.
The letter also alleged that attempts were being made to protect the accused, calling the SIT and the FIR lodged in the case as attempts to mislead the public.
“Prime Minister, please do not do this. Those guilty of stealing from the Mandir of Bhagwan Ram should be hanged. Protecting them is ‘mahapaap’. I am writing this letter to you with great hope," the letter said.
